Euco Oils & Wellness

Life Instyle chats with Euco Oils & Wellness to discuss the brand, how the idea first came about and her brands plan for the future.

Can you give us an insight into your retail brand's history and the journey that led to its creation?

Euco Oils & Wellness began from a genuine passion for Australian botanicals, traditional distillation, and natural wellness. What started as a small family-run operation focused on growing and distilling eucalyptus and tea tree oils gradually evolved into a broader collection of essential oils and botanical products inspired by the Australian landscape.

Our journey has never been about mass production. From the beginning, we wanted to create products that felt authentic, grounded, and connected to nature. Over the years, Euco has grown organically through markets, word of mouth, and strong relationships with customers who value quality, transparency, and craftsmanship.

Today, we continue to blend traditional methods with modern retail, while staying true to our roots as a family-owned Australian brand.

What drew you to exhibit at Life Instyle this year, and how does the show reflect your brand’s ethos or aesthetic?

Life Instyle felt like a natural fit for Euco because the show celebrates thoughtful brands with strong stories, quality products, and a clear identity. We love that it brings together retailers who genuinely care about craftsmanship, aesthetics, and meaningful customer experiences.

Our brand sits at the intersection of wellness, nature, and lifestyle, and Life Instyle reflects that beautifully. We’re excited to connect with stores that appreciate slow-made, Australian botanical products with a strong visual and sensory identity.

What gap in the market—or personal passion—sparked the creation of your brand?

We noticed that many products in the wellness space had lost their connection to authenticity. There was often a disconnect between branding and the actual origin of the products.

Euco was created from a desire to bring that connection back — to create products that feel honest, natural, and deeply rooted in Australian botanicals. Essential oils have always fascinated us, not only for their aroma but also for the ritual and atmosphere they create in everyday life.

What do you believe sets your brand apart in today’s competitive retail space?

Authenticity and connection to the source.

We are not simply creating products behind a screen — we are actively involved in the growing, harvesting, sourcing, and formulation process. That hands-on approach shapes everything we do and that for the past 50 years and counting.

Customers also connect strongly with the sensory experience of our products. The aromas, textures, and overall feel of the brand are intentionally designed to create a calm and grounding experience rather than simply selling another wellness product.

Could you share your personal favourite product from your brand's collection and tell us why it holds a special significance for you?

Our Blue Mallee Eucalyptus Oil holds a very special place for us because it represents the foundation of the brand over 50 years ago and our connection to the Australian landscape.

There is something incredibly nostalgic and grounding about the scent of true Australian eucalyptus. It reminds us of the bush, fresh air, and traditional remedies passed through generations. It’s a product that reflects both our roots and our vision for the future of the brand.

What were some of the biggest hurdles in starting your brand, and how did you overcome them?

Like many small businesses, one of the biggest challenges was balancing growth while staying true to our values. It can be tempting to scale quickly, but we’ve always believed in growing sustainably and maintaining product integrity.

Another challenge was learning every side of the business ourselves — from production and compliance to branding, logistics, and wholesale relationships. Persistence, adaptability, and genuinely believing in what we were building helped us navigate those challenges.

What feedback or comments do your customers frequently give about your products and brand, and what aspects do they appreciate the most?

The feedback we hear most often is that our products feel “real” and authentic. Customers regularly comment on the quality and purity of the aromas, especially compared to overly synthetic or commercialised products.

People also appreciate the story behind the brand and the fact that we remain approachable and connected to our customers through markets, events, and direct interactions.

How did you first get involved with Life Instyle, and how do events like Life Instyle help you connect with your customers or community?

We have always admired Life Instyle for its curated approach to retail and design-focused brands. As Euco continues to expand into wholesale and boutique retail spaces, exhibiting at Life Instyle felt like the right next step.

Events like this are invaluable because they allow genuine face-to-face connections. Retail is ultimately about relationships, and trade shows create opportunities to share the story, passion, and sensory experience behind the products in a much more meaningful way.

Can you highlight some of the proudest achievements or milestones your brand has achieved since its inception?

One of our proudest achievements has been building a loyal customer base organically through markets, word of mouth, and independent retailers.

Another major milestone has been expanding into wholesale partnerships while maintaining the integrity and identity of the brand. Participating in major Australian events and continuing to see customers return year after year has been incredibly rewarding.

Is there a piece of business advice that has significantly influenced your journey as a retail brand owner?

Stay authentic and focus on long-term relationships rather than short-term trends.

People connect with honesty, consistency, and passion far more than perfection. Building a strong brand takes time, and trust is one of the most valuable things a business can earn.

Are there any brands in your industry or related sectors that you admire or draw inspiration from?

We admire brands that remain deeply connected to their origins and craftsmanship rather than simply following trends. We’re inspired by businesses that create strong sensory experiences, thoughtful packaging, and authentic storytelling while staying grounded in quality and sustainability.

We also draw inspiration from traditional botanical practices and Australian native landscapes themselves.

How do you stay in tune with what your customers want and need as trends evolve?

One of the advantages of being hands-on and market-based is that we speak directly with customers every week. Those conversations provide invaluable insight into what people are looking for, how they use products, and how wellness habits are evolving.

We also pay close attention to shifts in retail, lifestyle, and wellness culture while staying careful not to lose the timeless identity of the brand.

Could you outline the core values that steer your brand's decision-making processes and relationships with customers?

Authenticity, quality, transparency, and connection.

We aim to create products that feel genuine and thoughtfully made while building honest relationships with both customers and retail partners. Sustainability and respect for natural ingredients also guide many of our decisions.

Above all, we want Euco to feel human — approachable, grounded, and real.

What’s next for your brand—and what dreams are you chasing over the next few years?

We’re focused on thoughtfully growing Euco into more boutique retail spaces both within Australia and internationally while continuing to expand our collection of botanical wellness products.

Long term, we would love to further develop our Australian-grown ingredients, strengthen our farm-to-bottle story, and continue building a brand that people genuinely connect with emotionally and sensorially.
