Vittoria Hall - Allegro Australia

Life Instyle sat down with Vittoria Hall, creator of Allegro Australia, about bringing Italian fashions to the Australian shores!

What was the spark that inspired you to start your own business?

My Mother, she was a Designer/ Tailor/ Dressmaker in Italy.

What were those first steps you took to launch? And what would you say was the scariest part/your biggest fear?

Working with my mother inspired me. Starting a business with poor English is scary.

Tell us a bit about how you design/ make your product. Who/where/how/why etc.

I started doing my own designs but found Australia did not have the manufacturers I required. So I started working with Italian brands with a goal to bring Italian fashion to Australia.

What is it that you think your customers love about your brand/ product?

Definitely the affordable prices.

Who would be your dream collaborator?

Designer house Balmain.

What path led you to Life Instyle and what is it about the show that makes it a great fit for you?

I spent years exhibiting at another Trade show with little results. Life Instyle brings in the buyers we want.

Who are some of the other brands at Life Instyle who you love/admire?

Brunella.

Can you share one of your proudest moments in business so far?

With more than 24 years in business, there are many. I love seeing women in the street wearing one of our designs. That to me is a proud moment.

What is the best piece of business advice you have been given?

Do your research first.

What exciting things are on the horizon for 2020 and beyond?

We're launching a leather collection.

When you are not busy with the business, what’s your ideal way to unwind and give yourself a little bit of self-care?

Spend it with my family.

JUST FOR FUN!

Karaoke song of choice?

Dream the impossible dream.

Guilty pleasure?

Chocolate
