Meet The Brand: Reality Eyewear

blog

Launching our new brand profile series, Meet the Brand, this is your chance to learn a little more about the makers of the beautiful product you find at Life Instyle.

Tell us about yourself:

Reality is an Australian Eyewear Design Group. After success in developing collections for Major International Fashion Groups the Reality Design Team has recently developed their own branded collection for the first time in a number of years.

Biggest 'wow' moment:

Reality’s Design Team have developed collections for Barneys New York, Fred Segal Los Angeles, Urban Outfitters/ Anthropologie USA in addition to leading Australian fashion brands.

How do you achieve your competitive pricepoint?

We achieve this through many years experience manufacturing collections for leading fashion groups and refining our craft.

Our colourisation process has been refined to the point that our frames look equivalent to handmade sunglasses three times the price. Feedback from our customer is always surprised when they see the RRP - as a result the product moves very quickly!

Our designs are originally hand-crafted before an injection mold is created.

Reality use optical grade hinges on their sunglasses which further enhances the quality and optical grade feel/ look of the product.

Tell us something we don't know about you:

Reality have a strong focus on colour and there is a great sense of colour in all the collections. They are fans of the celebrated contemporary artist Allan Mitelman who has had retrospectives at the NGV as well as the Art Gallery of NSW. Allan was also the subject of a winning Archibald prize painted by Lewis Miller. Reality designed the frame Allan Mitelman is wearing in the winning painting especially for Allan and named the frame ‘The Mitelman’.

Life Instyle are proud to present Reality Eyewear and their refreshed approach to sunglasses for the trendsetter.
